Bilal Haidar began exploring Laravel in 2018, adding the framework to his extensive experience as a .NET developer.
“I successfully adopted Laravel when a client entrusted me with a Laravel/Vue.js project. That opportunity proved transformative, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter.”
The PHP framework quickly became a central part of his development toolkit. Bilal enjoys Laravel for its elegant syntax, robust ecosystem, and the productivity it offers for building complex, scalable applications.
“I enjoy working with Laravel because it allows me to focus on solving problems and delivering value efficiently. Its features—like queues, jobs, deployment tools, and testing capabilities—make development smooth and structured,” he explains.
Building with Laravel
Bilal has built multiple systems using Laravel and its ecosystem, including e-learning platforms using Laravel and Vue, compliance and quality management systems, CRM solutions leveraging Laravel, Forge, Envoyer (now available out of the box in Forge), and Horizon, and backend services for point-of-sale applications.
He uses Laravel’s core features as well as deployment and queue/job systems to maintain efficient, high-quality production environments.
Writing, Mentoring, and Thought Leadership
Besides coding with Laravel, Bilal has long been active as a technical writer and mentor. He is an author for CODE Magazine, contributing articles on .NET in earlier days and more recently launching a Laravel tutorial series. His published works include ASP.NET Security, Membership, and Role Management (2008), and books on Laravel and Vue.js.
